Alloa 1-1 Albion: Match Report

Livingston well clear after victory at Brechin

Livingston moved 13 points clear at the top of Ladbrokes League One with a 2-0 win at Brechin.

Liam Buchanan opened the scoring in the 11th minute and wrapped up the victory just before the hour mark.

Second-placed Alloa were held to a 1-1 draw by Albion Rovers, for whom Paul Willis equalised in first-half stoppage time following Jordan Kirkpatrick’s 21st-minute opener.

Stranraer moved further clear of trouble with a 3-0 home defeat of bottom club Stenhousemuir.

Scott Agnew (37) gave the visitors the lead and, after Jamie McCormack had been dismissed for the visitors seven minutes into the second half, goals from Ryan Thompson (56) and on-loan Dumbarton man Amadou Kassarate (87) wrapped up the points.

Rory McAllister gave second from bottom Peterhead an eighth-minute lead against Airdrieonians but the visitors earned a point through Sean McIntosh’s 35th-minute goal.

East Fife’s match against fellow play-off hopefuls Queen’s Park finished goalless.
