Wenger has been tipped to get another job when he leaves Arsenal

The ‘WengerOut’ brigade have been in loud voice over recent months, and Sunday’s defeat at the hands of Newcastle – which leaves Arsenal just two points clear of seventh – has increased the pressure on the Frenchman.
Though he has made it clear he intends to see out his full contract, which runs until the summer of 2019, Wenger’s future will be discussed in Arsenal’s corridors of power at the end of this season.
He is on course for his worst ever Premier League finish, and the Gunners’ hopes rest entirely on their Europa League campaign; winning the competition would book them a place in next year’s Champions League , while failing to do so would mean another year away from Europe’s top table.
Fans are calling for Wenger to do the right thing and walk away from the Emirates before potentially doing even more damage, but Merson feels any departure could come back and haunt Arsenal.
The north London legend has no doubts Wenger would walk into a new job with ease, and could even have the same impact upon them as he did upon Arsenal when he first joined the Gunners in the late 1990s.
“I think he’ll be manager somewhere else,†Merson told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast . “He’ll get a job in two minutes when he leaves Arsenal… he’ll want to manage again.
“I look at Arsene Wenger and football is his life. He will manage again.
“That is the problem for Arsenal; when he does go, he could come and haunt them, because wherever he goes he could go and do something special like he did at Arsenal.â€
