Brighton v Tottenham: Premier League preview, predicted line ups, plus more

Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton go head-to-head tonight with plenty still to play for in the Premier League .

The Seagulls are only seven points clear of safety and will know defeat could cause them trouble with a tricky run-in, while Spurs still have eyes on second spot.

But will their impending FA Cup semi-final with Manchester United distract Mauricio Pochettino’s men?

Find out tonight at the Amex Stadium…

What the managers are saying:

Mauricio Pochettino : “For me Hugo Lloris is, from the day that we arrive here, improving every season,” he said. “For me today he is one of the best keepers in the world and for me there’s no doubt.

“But you know the perception sometimes, you need to respect the people’s perception. I don’t know, because I don’t read [it].

“But for me Hugo Lloris is doing fantastic, for me he is one of the best keepers in the world and for me there is no doubt about him.”

Chris Hughton : “We will have to play at a good level, we will certainly have to nullify a lot of the good strengths that they have and the threats that they have got but we’ve also got to be a threat ourselves.

“We can’t defend for too long a period in the game otherwise, with the quality that they’ve got, the inevitable happens so we will have to make sure that we are in the game.”

What the players are saying:

Anthony Knockaert: “I don’t think at this stage of the season we care who we play. It’s another final for us and we did it against Arsenal , so why can’t we do it against Tottenham?

“If in this period of time we don’t work together and don’t play for each other then it will be tough to get results. We’ve got the quality and we’ve done all that up until now so I don’t think we will have any problems getting a few more points by the end of the season.

“It doesn’t matter who we play. It’s all about ourselves.”

Dele Alli: “We want to win every game, and if you want to win every game it’s going to end up the right way.

“We’ve got a great manager and we are all hungry to win and achieve something.

“The direction the club is heading in is not too far off.â€

Predicted XIs:

Brighton team: Ryan; Schelotto, Duffy, Dunk, Bong; Kayal, Propper, Gross; Izquierdo, Locadia Murray.

Tottenham team: Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies; Dier, Dembele; Eriksen, Alli, Son; Kane.
