Ray Wilson, a member of England’s heroic 1966 World Cup-winning team, has sadly passed away, aged 83.

The former left-back is a Huddersfield Town legend, having made 283 appearances for the Terriers, and also won the FA Cup with Everton .

He was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2004, but until recently was still a regular visitor to the Kirklees Stadium for home matches.
