Tottenham Hotspur starlet Keanan Bennetts has completed a move to Borussia Monchengladbach.
The 19-year-old starlet had been linked with a switch to the Bundesliga club in recent days and a deal worth a reported £2million has now been confirmed.
Able to play on the left side of attack or defence, Bennetts has impressed in Spurs’ Under-23 this year, while also scoring several spectacular set-pieces.
Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl told the club’s website: “Keanan can play a variety of attacking roles. He has played for Spurs in the Premier League 2 and in the UEFA Youth League this season, and we back him to make the step up to the Bundesliga. We’re delighted he has chosen to sign for Borussia.”
Meanwhile, Bennetts added: “Borussia is one of Germany’s biggest teams. I’m really looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere at BORUSSIA-PARK.”
The England youth international who has a German mother and has been raised bilingual joins the likes of Jadon Sancho, Mandela Egbo, and Kaylen Hinds in moving to the Bundesliga permanently, while Ademola Lookman and Reece Oxford spent some of last season there on loan.
