Juventus confirm interest in Arsenal target Aleksandr Golovin

Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta has revealed it is “more than just a possibility” that the Italian champions sign Arsenal target Aleksandr Golovin.

The midfielder is one of the most sought after players this summer after excelling for CSKA Moscow this season.

In 2017/18, Golovin developed into one of his team’s star men.

The Russian midfielder played a grand total of 43 times for CSKA, scoring seven goals, recording six assists and picking up an impressive 13 yellow cards. His side finished second in the Russian Premier League, were knocked out in the group stage of the Champions League, quarter-finals of the Europa League and round-of-32 of the Russian Cup.

The 22-year-old is now expected to star for Russia at the World Cup after being named in their squad.

Arsenal are one of those fighting to sign Golovin, but he has also attracted the attention of Juventus.And when quizzed whether the club might sign the midfielder, Marotta told Corriere dello Sport: “It’s more than just a possibility.”

The Russian has caught the eye as a pacy attacking midfielder, unafraid to take on opposition defenders.
