Rangers have announced the signing of Umar Sadiq from Roma on a season-long loan.
The 21-year-old joins for the 2018/19 season and becomes Steven Gerrard’s ninth signing of a busy summer.
Sadiq spent last season on loan at Dutch club NAC Breda, where he scored five goals in 12 Eredivisie appearances.
He has netted twice in six senior appearances for his parent club Roma after breaking into the first team aged just 18.
Sadiq also has an Olympic medal after helping Nigeria to bronze in 2016
The forward scored four at the tournament in Brazil, including two strikes in the bronze medal winning game as his country defeated Honduras 3-2.
