The Portuguese superstar is expected to make his debut on the opening day of the 2018/19 Serie A season instead
Cristiano Ronaldo’s highly-anticipated Juventus debut will NOT be against Real Madrid , according to reports.
The five-time Ballon D’Or winner is not expected to be ready to feature in the pre-season friendly between the two clubs.
Ronaldo has completed a shock £99.2m move to the Italian champions from Madrid and will arrive in Turin on Sunday or Monday.
Juve will spend pre-season in the USA where they face Bayern Munich, Benfica, MLS All Stars, and Ronaldo’s beloved Madrid on 5th August.
But, according to Mundo Deportivo, the match will come too early for the Portuguese superstar, who will only start training five days before it takes place.
It is understood his debut will instead come on 19th August – the opening day of the next season’s Serie A.
